⚠️ Emergency Alert 06-04-2025: Construction Zone Safety While we know that it is exciting to have a construction project going on in New Richland, it is very important for everyone to maintain a safe distance from the construction site. For that reason, “Stay safe by staying out”. We are seeing an increase in people near the construction zones appearing to try and see what is going on. This can put these individuals at risk of serious injuries. These areas have large trucks and heavy equipment working in close quarters, uneven ground and other hazards. Staying out of the works zones helps keep everyone safe and lets the contractors do their work efficiently. Please remind everyone to stay out of the work zones. The City of New Richland will try to provide updates as often as possible regarding the 2025 Street and Utility Project.

The City of New Richland will post public notices on its website while they are open for public comment.  If you wish to be heard, please attend the meeting date indicated under the ordinance or send your comment in writing or via email to:

Notification of Accessibility of the Service Line
Materials Inventory City of New Richland

The City of New Richland has completed and submitted our service line materials inventory to the Minnesota Department of Health. The service line inventory is publicly available, and you can check the materials for your service line by visiting the Lead Inventory Tracking Tool (LITT) at https://maps.umn.edu/LSL/ you may also contact us at 507-465-3514. To complete the service line inventory our system performed record review, community outreach, and/or visual inspections.

As of October 16, 2024, our inventory contains 0 lead, 13 galvanized requiring replacement, 10 unknown material, and 494 non-lead service lines.
