Emergency Alert 09-23-2026: ***Wednesday Update No. 1*** PLEASE BEAR WITH US AS INFORMATION COMES IN, UPDATES WILL BE COMING; THEY MAY SEEM CONTRADICTORY If you need assistance inside your residence, come to City Hall. We need written permission for volunteers to enter your home. You must complete mandatory forms. ***Wednesday Cleanup Guidance*** The ditch is still not safe to be near. Please stay away from it. If you need items picked up, please have items at the curb; we cannot enter your homes to retrieve materials. The damaged materials drop-off site will close at 6:00 PM and reopen at 8:00 AM. Please follow the signs for directions. Please be prepared to show proof of residency. Sandbags will be disposed of at the city brush collection point on top of the hill to the right (SW portion). Please only use dump sites explicitly mentioned here. Unlawful dumping will be prosecuted. Please use excess caution when driving around on Wednesday. Volunteers and heavy equipment will be everywhere. Please exercise caution for your neighbors. Please stay on the roads to protect city and private property. The ground is very soggy, and it could be damaged further. Exit road surfaces only if directed. Bathrooms are located at City Hall and the temporary drop-off point. Please respect our community.

EDA

Our mission is to support and encourage our existing businesses while attracting new entrepreneural potential for small and large business opportunites through our Business Property Enhancement Reimbursement Grants, low cost loans, and marketing our City as a great place to live and work.

The New Richland Economic Development Authority (EDA) was developed in September of 2001.  The board of commissioners consists of five (5) members, including 2 members from the City Council and 3 community volunteers.
