Homes and businesses in the project area will be notified via door hangers and newsletters.  The city will also utilize Facebook and our city notification system to make notifications regarding the project and any updates within the project area.  You can sign up for notifications here.

Construction Progress Update – Week of August 18th:

• The contractor continued underground utilities on Broadway Ave S from 3rd St SE to 4th St SW. 
• The contractor continued pouring sidewalks and driveways on Ash Ave S and 4th St SW. 

Planned Construction Schedule Update – Week of August 25th:

• The contractor plans to finish concrete work, topsoil grading and seeding on Ash Ave S. 
• The contractor plans to finish underground utilities on Broadway Ave S from 3rd St SE to 4th St SW. 
• The contractor plans to finish building the new road section on Broadway Ave S from TH 30 to 3rd St SE.

• The contractor plans to continue underground utilities on Broadway Ave S from 3rd St SE to 4th St SW. 
• There is a water shutdown planned for Monday, August 18th and Tuesday, August 19th. This impacted will be notified the day prior. 
• The contractor plans to continue pouring concrete curb and sidewalks on Ash Ave S and 4th St SW.

• The Contractor finished excavating the road and building the road section on Ash Ave S and 4th St SW from Ash Ave S to mid-block.
• The contractor finished storm sewer on Broadway Ave S from TH 30 to 3rd St SE. 
• The contractor began excavation for the new road section on Broadway Ave S from TH 30 to 3rd St SE.
• The contractor began pouring concrete curb and gutter on Ash Ave S. 

Planned Construction Schedule Update – Week of August 11th:

• The contractor plans to continue excavating and building the new road section on Broadway Ave S from TH 30 to 3rd St SE. 
• the contractor plans to continue curb and gutter on Ash Ave S and begin on 4th St SE
• On Monday, August 11th the contractor plans to begin removing the asphalt millings on Broadway Ave S from 3rd St SE to 4th St SW. Driveways will be ramped back at the end of the working day but if you need to get a vehicle out, please have it out of your driveway by 7:00 am on Monday, August 11th. 
• The contractor plans to begin underground utility construction on Broadway Ave S from 3rd St SE to 4th St SW on Tuesday, August 12th. 
• A water shutdown is tentatively planned for Tuesday, August 12th. Those impacted will be notified the day prior. 
• ACCESS NOTE: During underground construction on Broadway Ave S from 3rd St SE to 4th ST SW residents should access both the south ends of Ash Ave S and Broadway Ave S off of Ash Ave S. More information will be handed out Monday, August 11th.

• The contractor continued excavating the road and began building the road section on Ash Ave S from TH 30 to 4th St SW.

• The contractor plans to continue building the road section along Ash Ave S from TH 30 to 4th St SW. 
• The contractor plans to begin storm sewer on Broadway Ave S from TH 30 to 3rd St SE. 
• Concrete curb and gutter is tentatively planned for the end of the week depending on weather. 
• Underground utility construction is planned to begin on Broadway Ave S from 3rd St SE to 4th St SW once Ash Ave S is passable. When this begins, residents should access the south ends of Broadway Ave S and Ash Ave S off of Ash Ave S. A notification will be sent out when an exact schedule is determined.

• The contractor continued working on sewer and water services along Broadway Ave S from TH 30 to 3rd St SE. 
• The contractor began excavating the road for the new roadway section along Ash Ave S. This work was postponed due to rain.

Planned Construction Schedule Update – Week of July 28th:

• The contractor plans to continue road excavation along Ash Ave S, with gravel base to follow. 
• The contractor plans to begin storm sewer on Broadway Ave S from TH 30 to 3rd St SE. 
• For the next few weeks, Ash Ave S and Broadway Ave S will not be directly accessible from 2^ndStreet (TH 30).  Please use the alternate access route along the alley east of Broadway Ave S to 3^rdSt SE. Please see Alternate Route Map linked to the right.

• Tuesday 7/29: The contractor plans to close the intersection of 4th St and Ash Ave S all day to install a new sewer manhole. More information will be shared prior to closure.

Planned Construction Schedule Update – Week of July 7th:

• The contractor plans to grind the asphalt pavement Monday, July 7th along Broadway Ave S and 3rd St SE. During this process, the contractor will grade and compact the gravel base to maintain access.
• As soon as Tuesday, July 8^th, the contractor plans to begin curb and driveway removals along Stage 2A. During and after this process, Broadway Ave S will no longer be accessible directly from 2^nd Street (TH 30).
• For the next few weeks, Ash Ave S and Broadway Ave S will not be directly accessible from 2^nd Street (TH 30).  Please use the alternate access route along the alley east of Broadway Ave S to 3^rd St SE. Please see Alternate Route Map linked to the right.
• Private utility companies will continue to relocate their facilities near the project area. If interruptions are expected, the utility companies will communicate these with customers.

• The contractor was not able to work on underground utilities the second half of the week due to rain.

• A notification was dropped off to residents on Friday June 27^th explaining the tentative schedule for construction on Broadway Ave S.

• The contractor plans to finish any water and sewer main along Ash Ave S and the west end of 4^th St SW.
• The contractor plans to begin water and sewer services along Ash Ave S and 4^th St SW.
• Due to weather, the water shutdown planned for residents along Ash Ave S located south of 4^th St SW has been delayed to Tuesday, July 1^st. A notification will be delivered the day prior to confirm.
• The intersection of Ash Ave S and 4^th St SW will be closed when underground utility work is happening in the intersection. There are closures planned for June 30^th and July 1^st.
• In conjunction with the city’s project, private utility companies will be continuing to relocate their facilities near the project area. If interruptions are expected, the utility companies will communicate these with customers.

• The contractor finished main line sanitary sewer and began watermain along Ash Ave S.
• Private utilities have continued the relocation of their facilities near the project areas.
• The contractor began setting out a temporary water system along Broadway Ave S on June 20^th. Residents will be notified prior to any switch over or interruptions.

Planned Construction Schedule Update – Week of June 23^rd:

• The contractor plans to continue watermain and work on sewer and water services along Ash Ave S and 4^th St SW.
• There is a water shut down for residents along Ash Ave S that are located south of 4^th St SW tentatively planned for Wednesday, June 25^th. The residents impacted will be notified when the plan is confirmed.
• The intersection of Ash Ave S and 4^th St SW will be closed when underground utility work is happening in the intersection. Those residents being impacted will continue to be notified the day prior to any closure.
• In conjunction with the city’s project, private utility companies will be continuing to relocate their facilities near the project area. If interruptions are expected, the utility companies will communicate these with customers.

• A water shutdown to isolate the Stage 1 watermain was completed and residents in the affected areas have been switched over to temporary water.

• The contractor plans to continue underground utility construction along Ash Ave S and also begin utility construction along 4^th St SW.
• An intersection closure of 4^th St SW and Ash Ave S is tentatively planned for Tuesday, June 17^th (weather dependent). Door hangers will be delivered on Monday to confirm the closure.
• In conjunction with the city’s project, private utility companies will be continuing to relocate their facilities near the project area. If interruptions are expected, the utility companies will communicate these with customers.

• If the temporary water test passes, the contractor will begin contacting residents to connect services to the temporary water system.
• The contractor plans to begin underground utility work on Tuesday, June 10th. This work will involve a temporary water shutdown for some residents & a temporary closure of the intersection of Ash Ave S & 4th St SW. Notifications will be delivered to the specific properties affected on Monday, June 9th.
• In conjunction with the city's project, private utility companies will also be relocating their facilities near the project area. If interruptions are expected, the utility companies will communicate these with customers.
